Starting along the northern shoreline of Little Traverse Bay, and winding through the “Tunnel of trees” towards a western Lake Michigan exposure, Harbor Springs is the very essence of quaintness and charm. An exceedingly popular visitor destination, Harbor Springs is known for its beautiful downtown, first-class ski & golf resorts, and real estate offerings that are second to none. Harbor Springs has retained its historic charm better than most any community in Northern Michigan. With less than 1300 year-round residents according to the 2020 US Census, Harbor Springs is a true resort town. Many of those living in Harbor Springs year-round are employed in Petoskey, which is just a 15 minute drive around Little Traverse Bay.

Harbor Springs is home to some of the most exclusive real estate properties in all of Northern Michigan. The famed Harbor Point community features properties in regular excess of $5,000,000. Despite its modest size, Harbor Springs has much to offer its residents! Petoskey’s convenient proximity also ensures Harbor Springs residents never have to travel far for their broader consumer needs.

M-119 begins in Petoskey and stretches through Harbor Springs, before winding up the Lake Michigan shoreline to Goodhart, Cross Village, and beyond. This drive is considered a must-do when visiting Northern Michigan. The 4thof July parade and festivities also bring this small town to life in the heart of summer! Visitors will also be blown away by the impressive yachts that routinely moor along Harbor Springs’ shore in summer. For such a small town, Harbor Springs has much to offer!
